Continuing on the theme of my neighborhood's march towards Civil War, the next Yalecrest Neighborhood Council is scheduled for Wednesday, May 5, 2010 @ 6:15pm @ Carmen B. Pingree School, 780 Guardsman Way (in the Kiva).
If you own a house between 13th East and 19th East, and Sunnyside and 13th South, you have a stake in the outcome. If you don't want our neighborhood to gain Local Historic Designation (and the 202 pages of guidelines that go with it), you're the Republic. If you're part of the pro-designation, you're the Confederacy. Choose your side! The Battle of Ft. Sumter was last week. Let's call this upcoming meeting the First Battle of Bull Run.
