My worst blogging drought in nearly two years... lame.
Life has taken me to Indianapolis (listened to Mary Lou Retton tell stories about driving around Texas in a van with Bela Karolyi doing gymnastics demonstrations), Colorado Springs (dinner with handball Olympian Kathy Rex was probably the highlight) and Chicago (met Randy Dean, Tom Fitzgerald, Diane Simpson, Chick Lillis and others - plus many old friends like Peter, Greg, Yaro, Deb, Clark, Jonathan and others).
My new passport is in transit... my Brazilian visa pending... in light of an upcoming trip to Foz de Iguacu, aka the 2nd largest dam and largest hydroelectric dam on the planet (things I learned at Snow Lion!).
I have spent time with our men's and women's handball national teams - and seen our future in the eager eyes of a 17-year-old girl who learned her handball in Cairo.
I read about Renee Rosen's (Jerry's sister!) novel in the Chicago Tribune this weekend...
I talked to my good friend Rob about chemo, radiation and beating the hell out of non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma...
I've barely written for my soccer publications... but I did submit a 50-page report on the future of handball in America...
I'm late on my Zion/Bryce work...
My dad's on a boat from Ensenada to San Francisco... just him and the boat owner... hmm.
Northwestern is 6-1, 24th in the nation, and thoroughly entertained us on a crystal clear fall day last Saturday...
It's been years too long, but I got a new NU sweatshirt - love the purple!
I've read great editorials on our presidential race...
My friend Chris K is headed to Houston for a cool new job...
I'm not sure if Chris C is on the move or already moved....
I could go on. But I'll try to update more regularly instead. I missed the blog. I'm back.
You were in Indy and didn't look me up? I would have bought you a beer...

Was good to see you. Wish it could've been longer. Enjoyed watching some women's team handball action and meeting Chick, Dieter and Scott. Hope all goes well on your Best Dam, Team Handball Tour!
